Teen and Adult Program

For important updates on our waterslide project that will impact the Recreation Pool and schedule beginning in April, please click here.

Our Teen and Adult Programs are learn-to-swim programs and lessons are offered in 30-minute blocks and sessions are 4 or 5 weeks long, depending on the season.

Teen Swim Class

Our teen program is for students ages 13-17 years old and is designed for teens new to swimming. This class helps students feel confident in the water while learning essential swimming and safety skills. Through guided practice, swimmers will develop basic techniques needed for safe and successful swimming.

Advanced Teen Swim Class

Designed for students ages 13-17 years old. The class focuses on building confidence and efficiency in our Competition Pool while also refining technique and endurance. Our class is designed to help swimmers take the next step toward our Level UP! program, joining a swim team, or recreational swimming in a supportive and structured environment.

Students must be able to swim a minimum of 25 yards of crawl stroke in the Competition Pool.

The Advanced Teen class meets on Mondays and Wednesdays during Winter Sessions 1 and 2.

Registration Information

All group swimming, pre-comp, homeschool lessons, and dive lessons adhere to the same registration and session start/end dates. These lessons also have the option to register for multiple lessons per week at the price per lesson rate. Please see the table on the first page of our lessons flyer for registration dates.

There will be no lessons November 27-28 or May 25 due to holiday closures. These sessions will be prorated at the price per class rate for the closure dates.

Priority Registration vs. General Registration

Priority registration is available to students who are attending lessons in the current swim session at the time of registration. Priority registration does not guarantee a same day/time slot in the next session. Dropped sessions will forfeit priority registration privileges.

Lesson Make-Ups

We understand that circumstances and plans can change and will grant you a full refund of your program fee if you cancel your student’s initial registration for a session prior to the first lesson day of that session. No refund will be provided in connection with any cancellation made after the first lesson of a session has begun.

Please understand that when you enroll your student in lessons, you are reserving a slot in a program that is in high demand, and which could be filled by other students. As a result, your payment for reserving a slot in that program will be retained by the Snohomish Aquatic Center even if your student does not attend any lessons provided in the session.

  • All students enrolled in private lessons who choose to cancel or reschedule an appointment with four or more hours advance notice will now be subject to a rescheduling fee of $16/student per private lesson and $8/student per semi-private lesson.
  • Frequent cancellations or rescheduling requests may result in losing your lesson spot, as these make it impossible for our instructors to maintain a consistent schedule.
  • There is no rescheduling of lessons or make-up lessons for Adaptive lessons.

Whether group or private lessons, it is your responsibility to make sure vacations, appointments, and other activities do not interfere with your attendance at any of the lessons in a session for which you have enrolled your student(s).
