This enclosed wonder promises an exhilarating corkscrew ride that begins inside our aquatic haven, spirals out of the building, and then plunges back in, delivering an unforgettable experience for water enthusiasts of all ages.

Measuring an impressive 151-feet in length and soaring 20-feet high, the Splashtacular waterslide is a true marvel, designed to provide maximum excitement and joy. To embark on this aquatic journey, guests must:

• Stand tall at a minimum height of 48 inches
• Successfully pass a swim test, ensuring a safe and enjoyable ride for everyone

Waterslide closure update (June 2025)

In late 2023, a significant structural issue was identified in the concrete base supporting the waterslide at the Snohomish Aquatic Center. The extent of the damage meant that the waterslide cannot be safely used in its current condition.

Over the past 18 months, the school district has worked closely with structural engineers, contractors, and aquatic facility experts to fully understand the cause of the issue and to develop a solution that ensures long-term safety and durability.

Unfortunately, the repairs required are extensive and will likely involve the full removal and replacement of the concrete stairway, slide structure, and a section of the facility’s exterior glass wall. These repairs will also require a temporary closure of the facility.

We want to be transparent that this will be a significant and costly undertaking. However, investing in a safe and sustainable solution is essential to restoring this valued feature for years to come.

We know how important this feature is to our community, and we want to assure you that we are diligently working to complete the necessary repairs and safely reopen the slide as soon as possible.

We recognize this situation is disappointing, especially for those who look forward to using the waterslide. However, the safety of our guests and staff is our highest priority. We appreciate your continued patience and understanding as we work toward a safe and lasting solution.
